Experienced Teaching Assistants looking to take on teaching work
We are looking for experienced TA's who feel they have the ability to step up in their career and look to take on cover work in the absence of a teacher. All of the work will be prepared for you, all you need to do is deliver!
It is essential you have previous experience working within a school, ideally a secondary mainstream or special needs school. You will be confident in front of a class, leading them through their usual lessons, completing the cover work to a high standard. Your previous experience should include behaviour management as this will be expected within each school, adhering to the policies given to you in the morning.
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level at minimum and have excelled numeracy and literacy skills. Subject specialism would be advantageous, although to secure the most work you must be willing to cover any subject area and likely across multiple subjects in one day. You will be resourceful and quick thinking, demonstrate resilience and initiative and manage your time well.
This is an ideal role for a person wishing to become a teacher in the future.
To find out more about the schools we work with feel free to call the Hampshire Secondary Team on 02380331441.
