An esteemed secondary school in Bicester, Oxfordshire, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Exam Invigilator to join their permanent staff list starting from September 2024. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring a smooth experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supervise students during examinations to ensure a calm environment conducive to testing.
*Distribute and collect exam materials, ensuring all paperwork is handled with precision.
*Monitor students throughout the exam to prevent cheating and ensure compliance with exam regulations.
*Provide assistance to students in accordance with exam guidelines.
*Report any irregularities or issues during the exams to the Exams Officer.
*Ensure the exam room is set up according to the required layout.
*Follow all school policies and procedures to maintain a secure and orderly exam environment.
Requirements:
*Experience: Previous experience as an exam invigilator or in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
*Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
*Interpersonal Abilities: Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Must be comfortable interacting with students and staff in a professional manner.
*Availability: Flexibility to work during the school’s exam periods, including mornings and afternoons.
*Clearance: A valid Enhanced DBS check is mandatory, in line with safeguarding requirements.
*Reliability: A reliable individual with a strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
