English Tutor
Job description
We are seeking enthusiastic English Tutors to support pupils across Newcastle in building their literacy skills, boosting confidence, and achieving academic success. Tuition may take place in the home, a school, or a community hub.
Tutor Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging English sessions tailored to each pupil’s needs.

Support reading, writing, grammar, and exam preparation.

Monitor progress and update our bespoke cloud-based tracking system.

Inspire learners by building positive relationships and promoting a love of language.
Essential Tutor Requirements:
-
Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 or 4.

Experience tutoring English outside of the classroom or supporting additional needs.
-
Patience, adaptability, and creativity in explaining concepts.

Qualified Teacher Status in English or equivalent tutoring experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
