Job description
English Tutor (SEND/SEMH Specialist)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated English Tutor to deliver one-to-one and small group tuition for pupils in alternative provisions. This role involves supporting students with SEMH needs and behavioural disorders including ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, and other complex challenges.
Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with strong knowledge of the UK curriculum

Experience teaching/tutoring within alternative provisions or specialist settings

Proven success working with pupils with SEND/SEMH needs
-
Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce Only) registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Ability to adapt teaching methods to engage learners with diverse needs and backgrounds
Pay & Hours: £25 – £35 per hour (depending on experience)
Part-time hours, dependent on referral
Start Date: September/October

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
