Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Secondary School based in Crewe (CW3) who are seeking a part-time English Teacher from September. This is a dynamic and inclusive school who are looking for an individual who will work collaboratively with staff to create an engaging learning environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

About the role:

  • Start- date: 1st September
  • Part-time opportunity (long-term)

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching to students across KS3 and KS4, inspiring a love of literature and language. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons up to GCSE level, assessing students both formally and informally. Additionally, you will provide live and written feedback to pupils as well as communicating progress updates to the head of department and parents/carers at parents evening.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS with a background in English
  • Experience teaching English in Secondary schools is required (teaching placements included)
  • Strong subject knowledge as well as good knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and colleagues
  • A genuine passion for the subject and the development of young students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
