Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) + Teachers’ Pension Scheme

Our client, a welcoming mixed day special school in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their caring and committed team from September 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs, including autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties, in a setting that values personalised education and student wellbeing.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students aged 11–18, adapting your approach to meet a range of learning needs. While QTS is not required, experience working with young people and a passion for inclusive education is essential. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior staff to help every learner develop confidence, communication, and key literacy skills.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate from a SEN, FE, alternative provision, or tutoring background – or someone with relevant experience who is looking to transition into specialist education.

Strong subject knowledge in English (Degree or relevant qualification required)
