Teacher of English required to join a fantastic, friendly, and supportive Secondary school based in Leeds, LS16. Recently qualified and Newly qualified teachers of English are very welcome to apply.

I am currently seeking an ambitious English Teacher to join a high achieving department seeking to expand its successful and friendly Department.

The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of English at KS3 and GCSE level across year groups 7 to 11. You will work with the Head of English (SLT Member) to enhance the department and will get the chance to be involved with exciting project work throughout the year. 

The appointed candidate will benefit from working alongside a highly experienced department of English practitioners, alongside support from a highly visible SLT team.

The school is offering:

  • ongoing CPD opportunities with the chance to undertake qualifications such as NPQML and MA in Education

The teacher must have:

  • a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT  with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • experience of delivering English up to GCSE, pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject
  • CHILD ONLY DBS on the UPDATE SERVICE – or be willing to apply for one right away!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
