English Teacher, January start

A school in St Helens is looking for an english teacher of excellent quality to become part of their department in the new year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching up to KS4 level and will be able to provide the pupils with the much needed consistency and support they have not experienced enough of this year. You will also have proven strong behavioural management skills and attention to detail.
Based in a diverse school, you will be required to maintain the new positive changes towards behavioural ethos and pupil engagement which recent inspections have commended the school for. Having previously been a school facing various challenges in the past, new rigorous leadership has ensured that standards across the school and all departments are vastly improving
The school provides modern facilities with new state of the art sports facilities and technology hubs. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a challenging environment and proven ability to help implement and maintain change and development.

English teacher of excellent standard
Ages 11-18 (KS3-4)
5 days a week
Matenrity cover
Creating varied and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
There will be an expectation to create lesson plans and mark the student’s work, as well as working closely with students on a ‘one to one basis.’

Requirements
A UK recognised teaching qualification (BA QTS, BSc QTS, CERT ED, PGCE)
Experience teaching English to GCSE at secondary school (from KS3-KS5)
A positive attitude with a close attention to detail.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
