English Teacher - Lymington

Our School is a specialist Aspergers School for young people aged 7-19. We are a "Good" Rated SEN Residential school, that helps pupils go on to recieve a range of GCSE, ASDAN or Functional Skill qualifications. We are looking to appoint a forward thinking English Teacher who can set high expectation to motivate and inspire pupils. 

We are a caring and ambitious school who promote the development of both academic and social needs of our pupils, we have a passionate and friendly staff team who all have our pupils best interests at heart.

The role includes:

  • Teaching classes of around 8 pupils 
  • Utilising the Teaching Assistant within your class
  • The opportunity to devlop or create an English curriculum which is student led rather than exam driven
  • Challenging and Inspiring pupils to develop their skills in English

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be committed to high quality Teaching and Learning, you will also be able to differentiate work to students needs
  • Have experience in Teaching English to KS3 and 4 Pupils
  • Show a calm, patient and consisent approach to students behaviours 
  • Be able to nurture the students needs and interests
  • If you have the ability to also teach Classics or Media to a GCSE level this would also be highly advantageous

  • 39 weeks a year contract following the Hampshir School Holidays

  • Salary from M1 to Upper Pay Scale 2 will be considered
