Teaching Personnel are working with a school in Lymington in the New Forest that are in need of a Science Teacher to cover maternity from September. The school cater for primary and secondary aged pupils that are all on the Autistic spectrum, some of these pupils may have other needs such as challenging behaviour, anxiety or speech and language needs. They have a very strong and supportive staff team which work very closely together to make sure the school is ran as smoothly as possible.

The role would be for a minimum of 2 terms to cover maternity of their current Science teacher. Due to the type of the school you would be the only Science teacher which means this role may be suitable for candidates that have SLT experience. You would need to be available full time from September and have experience of teaching Science up to GCSE level.

Previous SEN experience is ideal but not essential as there is plenty of training given including an induction where they train staff about Autism and also train you in MAPA (a behaviour management/restraint training course).
