A high achieving secondary school is looking for a geography teacher to start in 2016. This is a full time position working with the possibility of extending into the following academic year. The successful candidate must be committed to achieving high standards and able to engage students within KS3 and KS4.

This large academy school north of Southampton combines a relatively informal and supportive approach, with a sharp focus on learning and achievement. There is no formal streaming of pupils; rather they are grouped flexibly to meet individual needs. Although pupils enter with high standards in English, mathematics and science, from there on the school successfully challenges even the highest performing individuals. It enables its pupils to achieve by ensuring high quality teaching and providing a very imaginative range of learning opportunities. The school is located on a large and attractive site with easy access to the M3. Excellent sports facilities, the school also has its own large, high quality concert hall with nearly 400 seats, which is extensively used by the school, community and Hampshire County Youth Orchestra.
