English teacher required on a full-time basis for a secondary school located in Hindley, Wigan.

This English teaching position is initially being offered on a full-time, temporary basis following the Easter Holidays and will continue until the end of the school year to cover a forecasted staffing gap within the English department.

  • Full-time English teacher required - Easter 2019
  • Employment for the remainder of the academic year initially with a view to secure a fixed term position
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependent on experience (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)
  • Our client Secondary school are taking applications from teachers of all experience levels

The school are open to teachers of all experience levels and encourage applications from Newly Qualified Teachers as well as more experienced class teachers.

It is important that the incoming English teacher is able to raise the attainment of their pupils whilst teaching engaging and well thought out English lessons, in line with the schools curriculum. The Headteacher has also highlighted that they would like to appoint someone who is able to teach English in a positive and engaging manor.

  • Larger than the average school in the area with around 900 pupils currently on roll
  • The school is a short drive away from the A577 and in an ideal location if traveling in your own vehicle
  • Located in Hindley, in the Wigan LEA you will have good access to public transport links making the school accessible to the surrounding areas, Wigan, Leigh and Bolton
  • Pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported and most make good progress.
