Experienced English Teacher required at a highly rated school in Hounslow

  • Pay to Scale - MPS -UPS
  • Excellent location for transport links
  • Full time role from September

An English teacher required for a ‘Good’ mixed community comprehensive school based in East Hounslow dedicated to serving their locality. A top achieving school where the young people are challenged to succeed and are well taught and cared for by a dedicated team of professionals.

A large comprehensive school with circa 1350 students, including the sixth form department. The school focuses on ways to instil their new shared values in all of their work:

Integrity: Making the right decisions by following their shared values

Responsibility: Playing an active part in their learning, behaviour, environment and community

Endeavour: Working hard, showing pride and demonstrating commitment in everything they do

Innovation: Encouraging the discovery of new skills and concepts by taking risks so they explore and improve.

Empathy: Nurturing their relationships through care and respect for each other and their willingness to have fun and succeed together.

THE ROLE: 5 days a week, teaching KS3-KS5 English Literature and Language to confident and ambitious students in this excellent department. Start after the Easter break for the summer term, with an option to then join on a permanent basis for the new academic year.

REQUIREMENTS

Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed

Previous UK teaching experience – English Literature and Language KS5

A can do/proactive attitude
