A school in Trafford is looking for a high quality English teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. It is essential that the required applicant:
- Holds QTS.
- Is educated to degree level (in English or a related subject)
- Has experience in the delivery of English lessons across KS3 and KS4. KS5 experience is very desirable.
The role will focus on:
- Delivering school curriculum, whilst ensuring that all of the students within the classroom are adhering to school policy.
- Being able to actively improve overall student attainment through working with students on an individual basis.
- Providing feedback to students, subject leaders, senior leaders and parents whenever is necessary.
- Having an in-depth subject knowledge, as well as solid grounding with regards to exam board criteria and specification.
- Implementing a unique approach, that will best allow students to engage with the subject.
- Working with support staff to best identify pupils who may require additional support within the subject.
- Working with students with SEN, and understanding the difficulties that these students may commonly face when manging the learning process.
- Understanding the difficulties that children requiring EAL support may face when working within the mainstream process.
- Experience in teaching both English Literature and English Language.
PAY: GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per year, based on previous experience.
The role will begin in September 2020.
The school’s location:
- Located in Traffod, the school is a short distance from Manchester city centre.
- The M60 motorway is within very close proximity of the school itself.
- There are multiple public transport links also located close by to the school.
