The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School English Teacher to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly A-Level, if applicable) with innovative teaching methods, helping them develop critical literacy, communication, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English literature and language tailored to a range of abilities.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards and school policies.
- Encourage a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking among students.
- Support students’ personal and academic development through mentoring and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and extracurricular activities.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
