Part-Time English Teacher – Key Stage 3 | Wimborne | September 2025 Start
Are you a creative and dedicated English Teacher looking for a flexible, part-time teaching role? A welcoming and well-resourced school in the Wimborne area is seeking a qualified English specialist to join their Key Stage 3 team from September 2025. There is also potential for an earlier start for the right candidate.
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work within a nurturing educational environment catering to pupils aged 4 to 18. The role is part-time, with hours between 8.45am and 3.30pm on agreed weekdays.
Salary: Full-time equivalent £31,650 – £43,607 per year
Part-time pay will be calculated on a pro-rata basis to reflect your working hours fairly.

About the Role:
This role focuses on delivering engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 students. You’ll help pupils develop core literacy skills, foster a love for literature, and build confidence in both written and spoken English.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver well-structured and inspiring English lessons to KS3 pupils

Differentiate content to meet the needs of diverse learners

Support students in developing reading, writing, and analytical skills

Monitor pupil progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

Contribute to the wider school community and collaborative teaching team
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Have experience teaching English at Key Stage 3
-
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

Be passionate about English and committed to inclusive education

Adapt to the needs of individual learners to maximise engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
