Part-Time English Teacher – Key Stage 3 | Wimborne | September 2025 Start 

Are you a creative and dedicated English Teacher looking for a flexible, part-time teaching role? A welcoming and well-resourced school in the Wimborne area is seeking a qualified English specialist to join their Key Stage 3 team from September 2025. There is also potential for an earlier start for the right candidate.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work within a nurturing educational environment catering to pupils aged 4 to 18. The role is part-time, with hours between 8.45am and 3.30pm on agreed weekdays.

Salary: Full-time equivalent £31,650 – £43,607 per year
Part-time pay will be calculated on a pro-rata basis to reflect your working hours fairly.

About the Role:
This role focuses on delivering engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 students. You’ll help pupils develop core literacy skills, foster a love for literature, and build confidence in both written and spoken English.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-structured and inspiring English lessons to KS3 pupils

  • Differentiate content to meet the needs of diverse learners

  • Support students in developing reading, writing, and analytical skills

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

  • Contribute to the wider school community and collaborative teaching team

 

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching English at Key Stage 3

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be passionate about English and committed to inclusive education

  • Adapt to the needs of individual learners to maximise engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
