English teacher required for a full-time teaching post starting after the Easter!

Due to an upcoming staffing gap, our client secondary school, based in Wigan wish to appoint an English teacher on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent post beyond this initial temporary period.

  • Full-time English teaching position, after Easter
  • Initially offered on a temporary basis for two terms with the opportunity to secure a permanent post.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status specialising in English
  • Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply.

To be considered for the role then you must have experience teaching English to students aged 11-16 and be able to teach English at GCSE level. It is important that you are able to take responsibility for a complete timetable consisting of full planning and marking responsibilities.

Our client Secondary school is a Roman Catholic school with around 1300 pupils currently on roll. The pupils within school show respect for adults and for each other and their highly conscientious attitudes to learning are an important factor in their achievement.  The school is located on the outskirts of Wigan bordering Salford which makes for easy access from surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Leigh and Chorley.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
