Job description

Position: Teacher of English

Location: Welwyn Garden City

As an English teacher with Teaching Personnel, you will have the incredible opportunity to inspire and engage students of various ages and abilities. Your role will involve delivering innovative and captivating lessons that foster a love for literature, language, and critical thinking.

You'll be working in collaboration with other educators, school staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment that enables students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative English lessons aligned with the needs of your groups
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to motivate students.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to cater to different learning styles.
  • Encourage students' participation in extracurricular activities, such as debate clubs or writing competitions.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to enhance the overall educational experience.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in English or a related field and QTS.
  • Passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on young minds.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced school environment.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Relevant teaching experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Relevant registration document (ID DBS and Proof of Address)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
