Job Description:

As an English Teacher in Totton, South East England, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language education to students. Your primary focus will be on developing students' language skills, literacy, and critical thinking abilities through engaging lessons and activities.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver English lessons in accordance with the curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Level 2 Safeguarding certification

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • A degree in English or a related field
  • Experience in teaching English to diverse student populations
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or English Language Teaching
  • Experience with exam preparation and assessment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
