Location: Remote / Online
Position: English Teacher
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Students: Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4

Are you an inspiring English teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to provide high-quality online lessons to students who are currently unable to attend school.

This is a full-time role working with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting them to remain engaged with their education and make strong academic and personal progress from home.

The Role

As an Online English Teacher, you will deliver engaging, structured and accessible lessons through an online learning platform. You will work with students who may have a range of individual needs and circumstances, adapting your teaching to ensure every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons for KS3 and KS4.
  • Supporting students working towards GCSE English Language and Literature where appropriate.
  • Assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Building positive and supportive relationships with students.
  • Maintaining high expectations while creating a safe and encouraging online learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and other professionals where required.
  • Keeping accurate records of attendance, progress and attainment.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who is:

  • Qualified and experienced in teaching English.
  • Passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.
  • Confident delivering lessons online using digital technology.
  • Able to engage and motivate students remotely.
  • Patient, adaptable and understanding of students who may have barriers to attending school.
  • Experienced in teaching KS3 and KS4, with GCSE experience highly desirable.
  • Organised and able to manage a full-time online teaching timetable.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
