English Teacher – January 2026 Start
Full-time (Part-time considered) | Poole | Paid to Scale

Teaching Personnel are working with a large and successful secondary school in the Poole area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher from January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and ambitious school community where teachers are supported to deliver high-quality lessons and inspire students to achieve their best. The English department is well-established and collaborative, with a strong track record of success at both KS3 and KS4.

The ideal candidate will be a teacher who can bring passion, creativity, and strong subject knowledge into the classroom, engaging pupils of all abilities in both English Language and Literature. Applications are encouraged from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) alike.

  • Start date: January 2026

  • Full-time preferred, part-time considered for the right candidate

  • Long-term position with potential for extension or permanent placement

  • Teaching English across KS3 and KS4, preparing students for GCSE success

  • Pay in line with the national teacher pay scale (MPS/UPS)

Requirements for applicants:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching English up to GCSE level

  • Strong classroom management and high expectations of student achievement
