English Teacher – Full Time – September 2025 Start

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be supporting the recruitment of an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a high-performing, forward-thinking, and collaborative English department at a well-regarded secondary school in Poole.

The successful candidate will join a team committed to delivering a rigorous academic curriculum that supports all students in achieving strong outcomes. You will work closely with the Director of English and the wider school leadership to maintain and elevate standards across the department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious English teacher, with the potential for paid additional responsibilities (TLRs) from September 2025 for those seeking career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging resources, schemes of work, and effective teaching strategies

  • Contribute to the school development plan and its implementation

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inspiring lessons

  • Participate in whole-school initiatives and collaborative planning

  • Run or support extracurricular clubs and activities

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with statutory guidance
