The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach A-Level for suitably qualified candidates.
• Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that foster a love for literature and language.
• Contribute to the department’s strong track record of academic success.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment programs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold the school’s high standards.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in English or a related subject.
• A passion for English and a commitment to delivering outstanding lessons.
• Experience teaching at secondary level, with a proven track record of excellent student outcomes.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
