English Teacher – Secondary School in Newport
Location: Newport, South Wales
Start Date: January 5th (Full Academic Year)
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: £166.32 – £230 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)

Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Create interactive learning resources to enhance student progress
- Foster classroom discussions that develop communication and critical thinking skills
- Assess and monitor student performance, providing constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS check
- Two professional references
- Right to work in the UK
(Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred, but NQTs are welcome to apply.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
