Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team allocated in Newport, South Wales. This is a full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational development of our students and help shape their academic and personal growth. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to ensure all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), have the opportunity to succeed.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents in a timely and constructive manner.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect, discipline, and a love of learning.
• Work collaboratively with other teaching staff, support staff, and leadership to ensure the continuous improvement of the school.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to the development of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
• Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher meetings.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience in teaching within a classroom setting, ideally with experience in both mainstream and special needs education.
• A passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and student support.
• An understanding of current educational frameworks and best practices in inclusive teaching.
