English Teacher
Job Description
As an English Teacher at Teaching Personnel, your role will involve delivering high-quality English lessons to students in an educational setting on a supply basis. You will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment, promoting students' language skills development, and fostering a love for the English language.
Job Duties
- Plan and deliver effective English lessons, ensuring the curriculum objectives are met.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve.
- Develop and implement appropriate teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain discipline, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to ensure effective communication and student support.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in English teaching methodologies and educational practises.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom.
- Specialism in English.
- Postgraduate degree in Education.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- A strong understanding of the UK national curriculum for English.
- Proven experience in planning and delivering engaging English lessons.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- Ability to effectively assess and monitor students' progress.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to cater to the needs of diverse learners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications or training related to English language teaching.
- Experience in working with students with special educational needs.
- Familiarity with educational technology and its integration in the classroom.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full-time position with Teaching Personnel. You will be expected to work standard hours as per the client schools schedule. The salary for this role ranges from £150 to £210 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
As an English Teacher, you will primarily work within an educational setting, such as a school or college. You will be responsible for managing a classroom of students and may also be required to attend meetings and engage in collaborative planning with colleagues.
Please note that due to the nature of the role, a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
