Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Alternative Provision who are looking to recruit a new English Teacher.
The Alternative Provision are looking for a English Teacher who are based in the Nottingham area, who has experience working with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups up to Functional Skills and GSCE Level.
The provision caters for students aged 5 - 19 years old. The role involves providing One to One, Small groups & Vocational courses across the East Midlands. The role also involves offering short & long term interventions, through to full time delivery and management of education for a young person.
Your role will include:
- Working on a personalised timetable
- Working one to one or with small groups
- Planning lesson plans for each student
- Transporting students between home and the learning locations
- For each student you are required to have your own vehicle in order to transports the students and do extra-curricula activities with them
- Your role will be to follow schemes of work and plan/adapt your resources (although some resources will be available and you will have the direct support of a line manager)
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE:
- At least 2 years of experience
- Full Driving License
- Car Business Insurance (or willing to gain Business Insurance)
- FQT or QTS
- Previous experience in an education, youth or residential setting
- Additional CPD such as Autism Awareness, Team Teach or Safeguarding (desired but not essential)
- A nurturing and calming attitude
- Knowledge of Makaton, PECS or BSL (Desirable but NOT essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
