Job Advert: Secondary English Teacher (Fixed Term)

Location: Kendal, Cumbria
Contract: October 2025 – December 2025 (fixed term)
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Start date: October 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary English Teacher to join our team in Kendal, Cumbria, for a fixed-term contract from October 2025 until December 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire and engage students across KS3 and KS4, helping them to develop a love of literature, language, and communication.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Have a strong subject knowledge in English.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons.
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

This fixed-term role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to gain further classroom experience in a supportive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
