English Teacher needed

We are currently recruiting for a fully qualified English Teacher for a secondary school based in Hounslow to come in and share their love for English as a subject with their students.

The school is looking for a passionate educator to enable students to flourish both academically and in their personal development and to provide an excellent, aspirational, and enriching education for those of all faiths, where each member of our community is known, valued, safe and enabled to flourish.

Full time

Location: Hounslow

Start date: September 2023

Pay rate: £140-£180

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and present lessons
  • Be enthusiastic when teaching to make students excited about English as a subject
  • Document and report on students progress
  • Provide an environment where individual learners thrive as confident, independent and informed citizens of the future
  • Mark students work
  • Ensure teaching responds to curriculum development in an exciting and innovating way

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have a genuine desire to help students reach their full potential
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum for English
  • Will promote high achievement and outstanding academic success
  • Will provide an orderly and stimulating environment
  • Will encourage students to be involved in lessons and share their views and ideas

Qualifications required:

  • QTS
  • PGCE
  • Degree in English
  • Previous in school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
