Support Literacy and Communication Skills in a Rewarding Role
Are you a passionate English tutor looking for a flexible role that truly makes an impact? TP Tutors is seeking experienced individuals to deliver 1:1 English tuition to pupils across KS1–KS4, starting after the summer holidays.
You’ll work closely with learners who need support in reading, writing, comprehension, and exam preparation. This is an ideal role for someone who understands how to build literacy skills and boost student confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver 1:1 English sessions that support reading, writing, and comprehension
- Support learners with specific targets such as SATs, entrance exams, or GCSEs
- Address individual learning needs with tailored strategies
- Encourage engagement through creative and effective teaching
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience supporting children or young people, ideally within an educational setting
- Confident in delivering English to students across KS1–KS4, depending on your subject expertise
- Skilled in adapting lesson content and delivery to suit individual learning styles and needs
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom or behaviour management abilities
- A genuine passion for empowering learners and building their confidence and academic ability
Essential Requirements:
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we’re happy to assist)
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
