Location: DY8, Stourbridge 
Contract Type: Part-time, Ongoing Position (via Teaching Personnel)
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join one of our partnered secondary schools in the DY8 area from January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inspiring students through engaging and high-quality English lessons. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential in both Language and Literature.

You will work as part of a collaborative English department that values creativity, consistency, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and departmental initiatives.

  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning in the classroom.

  • Support the wider school ethos and participate in relevant meetings, events, and enrichment activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Previous experience teaching English at secondary level.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • A genuine passion for English and education.

  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
