Contract Type: Part-time, Ongoing Position (via Teaching Personnel)

Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience
About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join one of our partnered secondary schools in the DY8 area from January 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inspiring students through engaging and high-quality English lessons. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential in both Language and Literature.
You will work as part of a collaborative English department that values creativity, consistency, and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and departmental initiatives.

Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning in the classroom.

Support the wider school ethos and participate in relevant meetings, events, and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Previous experience teaching English at secondary level.
-
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
-
A genuine passion for English and education.
-
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
