Position: English Teacher
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (currently until Christmas 2025 but has potential to continue past this point)


Seeking a passionate, dedicated, and innovative English Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive teaching team. If you have a love for language and literature, and the ability to ignite that same enthusiasm in young minds, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

You will:

  • Teach English across KS3 and KS4 

  • Teaching students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and other associated difficulties. 
  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons that challenge and support all learners

  • Contribute to a dynamic and collaborative English department

  • Play a part in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field. If you don't have QTS but have extensive experience teaching English, you will still be considered

  • At least one year experience teaching English in the UK.
  • A strong classroom practitioner with high expectations for students of all abilities

  • A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Someone with a commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
