Position: English Teacher
Location: Secondary School near to Darlington
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per year
Contract: Starting in January (potential for the successful graduate to start this side of the Christmas break to transition into the role.)
About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the literary and linguistic understanding of students. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons, in both literature and language
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to Head of Department
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall English curriculum within the school
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field
- Passion for the English language and literature, with a commitment to making the subject accessible and exciting
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
- A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching
