Teacher of English - Darlington 

Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher with the desire to foster a love for literature and language in students? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an English Teacher for a secondary school in Darlington.

Position: English Teacher
Location: Secondary School near to Darlington
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per year
Contract: Starting in January (potential for the successful graduate to start this side of the Christmas break to transition into the role.)

About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the literary and linguistic understanding of students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons, in both literature and language
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to Head of Department
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall English curriculum within the school

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field
  • Passion for the English language and literature, with a commitment to making the subject accessible and exciting
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching
