English Teacher – Cheltenham (Start Date: December/ January)

Location: Cheltenham
Start Date: December 2025
Contract Type: Full-time / Temporary-to-Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you a passionate and fully qualified English Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Teaching Personnel are working closely with a well-respected secondary school in Cheltenham to recruit an enthusiastic English specialist to join their team from December.

The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English, inspiring pupils to develop a love of language, literature, and communication. The school has a supportive atmosphere with good behaviour overall, but as with any secondary setting, strong classroom management skills and a confident presence are essential to maintain a purposeful learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A deep subject knowledge and genuine passion for English

  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students of all abilities

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A professional approach and a commitment to maintaining the school’s high standards

You will be expected to dress smartly, setting a positive example to students from the moment you arrive. The school day begins at 8:40am, so applicants should ensure reliable travel arrangements are in place.
