English Teacher – SEMH School Bury

We're currently looking for an english teacher for an SEMH school in Bury, it has very small class sizes, meaning your lessons can have a real impact. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum that supports academic progress alongside emotional development, supported by teaching assistants and multidisciplinary staff.

Role & Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs

• Promote literacy skills across reading, writing, speaking and listening

• Adapt teaching strategies to support students with SEMH and associated SEND

• Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and interventions where needed

• Collaborate with support staff to personalise learning activities

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• QTS 

• Experience teaching English within secondary or specialist settings

• A passion for inclusive practice and differentiation
