Job Title: Humanities Teacher

Location: Brynmawr

Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £166.32 per day (paid to scale for long-term roles: £32,433 – £49,944)

The Role:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging lessons and activities in subjects including History, Geography, Religious Studies, and Citizenship. You will have the opportunity to shape young minds and help them make meaningful connections to the world around them.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing lessons for a diverse range of students
  • Encouraging critical thinking, independent learning, and a passion for the Humanities
  • Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department and across other subjects
  • Contributing to extracurricular activities and student enrichment opportunities
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, providing feedback and support where needed

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with a passion for the Humanities
  • Excellent subject knowledge in at least one of History, Geography, Religious Studies, or Citizenship
  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 & 4 level (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to inspiring students to achieve their full potential
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Enthusiastic about supporting the personal development of students both inside and outside the classroom
