Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an ambitious English Teacher to work in one of our client schools in the Easton area. This school is incredibly vibrant and diverse and is determined to provide an inclusive and accessible education to transform future opportunities for themselves, their families, and the community.
What are we looking for?
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching English Language and English Literature
- Capable of planning for students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
- A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them to motivate students.
- A track record of positive impact upon student outcomes
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of delivering English Literature and/or English Language GCSE
- Suitable school-based references
- Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS.
- A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life.
- Be educated to degree level.
- Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
The curriculum is encouraged to be enriched with a range of opportunities such as language trips, sports clubs, productions etc. Even offering workshops with a large range of employers, for example Rolls-Royce, First Story and Ovo. Having students being immersed in as much as they can before entering the real world is a great importance for the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
