Teaching Personnel are looking for a fantastic English Teacher to join the large, dynamic and successful English department in an ‘outstanding’ school in central Bristol.
This oversubscribed 11 – 18, Church of England comprehensive school, serves families from the whole of greater Bristol and beyond. The school has a diverse student community which is celebrated as well as having considerable parental support.
The school will consider part time if needed.
The ability to teach English to Key Stages 4 and 4 is essential, as is the ability to teach English Language / Literature to Year 12.
The successful candidate will have:
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching English Language and English Literature
- Capable of planning for students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
- A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them to motivate students
- A track record of positive impact upon student outcomes
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What is required:
- Suitable school-based references
- Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
- Be educated to degree level
- Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
