Start Date: April 2026

Contract: Full-time (potential for permanent)

A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join their dedicated English department from April 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed practitioner who is passionate about English literature and language and who is keen to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school prides itself on its supportive leadership team, positive learning environment and strong focus on staff development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching

  • Be committed to raising attainment and fostering a love of reading and writing

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking department

This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs, with appropriate support available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
