English Teacher – Full Time

Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: February 2026

A mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from February 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking English department within a well-established school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of language and literature, and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking for an English Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Has experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience would be advantageous but not essential)

  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities

  • Is committed to raising attainment and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning

  • Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team

This role would suit both experienced English Teachers and strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are seeking a full-time position from February 2026.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
