Job description

We are seeking a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who can deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with special educational needs. 

About the Role:

As our new English Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, accessible lessons aligned to the English curriculum up to GCSE.

  • Adapt teaching to support students with a range of needs, including those with EHCPs, SEMH, ASD, and other barriers to learning.

  • Promote a love of reading, writing, and communication while building strong, trusting relationships with students.

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching English up to GCSE.

  • Strong classroom management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.

  • Experience working with students with SEN and/or behavioural challenges.

  • A belief in high expectations, second chances, and personalised learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
