Job description

A well-regarded secondary school in Bolton is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential
  • Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives

What We are looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching
