This strong and ambitious school is seeking English Literature or Language teachers who are looking for full-time roles on September.

English teachers with UK recognised qualification

Details about the role are below:

  • An English literature or language teacher with UK recognised qualifications (e.g. BA, QTS, PGCE)
  • Candidates would require experience teaching at secondary school KS3-5 level
  • Rated by Ofsted as "outstanding"
  • A full-time role, 5 days a week working from 8:30 - 15:30
  • Originally a Temporary role, but there is an option to go permanent
  • Less than a 15 minute walk from Edgware underground

The Role

I have roles starting in September for English teachers with interviews for these positions beginning this week. The school is looking to fill the vacancies ASAP.

The vacancy would be a temporary role, but depending on performance the school may want to take some candidates on a permanent basis at a later date. The successful candidate would be expected to work 8:30am till 3:30pm, 5 days a week as a full-time role.

The school are searching for candidates who can engage the students with exciting lessons and an aim to get students interested in learning. Planning and conducting lessons would be expected, along with marking students work and providing feedback for them to build on. Experience working with SEN, languages or extra-curricular activities would be welcome.

The School

The is a strong centred around a community atmosphere. They have recently built facilities that benefit both students and teachers, such as school wide wifi, smart boards and new sports facilities. The school aim to help students plan for their futures with their Sixth Form centre, whether students plan to go to university or straight into work.

Ofsted rated the school as "outstanding" stating it has strong and competent leadership and their "students make rapid progress and reach standards that are well above average."

Location

The school is accessible via Edgware underground (less than a 15 minute walk).
