English - Future Teachers - Graduate Scheme - Rochdale

Are you a recent English graduate considering a role within secondary education in the future?

Teaching Personnel are looking for recent English graduates to enrol on to our Future Teachers Graduate Scheme starting in September 2019 across our partner schools in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for Future Teachers of English to gain valuable classroom experience before commencing a Teacher Training programme in the future.

Though our Future Teachers Graduate Scheme, Teaching Personnel are actively addressing the shortage of Teachers across Greater Manchester and throughout the UK by placing Graduates of core subjects into year long placements as Teaching Assistants in order to gain experience of secondary education.

  • English Graduate required for Teaching Personnel's Future Teachers Graduate Scheme
  • Placement as a Teaching Assistant at one of our partner schools in Rochdale
  • Fixed term contract (September 2019 - July 2020)
  • Joining an English department where successful candidates can learn and develop from experienced and highly skilled professionals
  • Earn up to £325 per week paid in weekly arrears
  • Support and advice given upon applying for Teacher Training programme

As a Teaching Assistant as part of our Futures Teachers Graduate Scheme, successful candidates will complete a placement covering a full academic year in the English department at one of our partner secondary schools in Rochdale. Throughout the scheme, the incoming graduate will support main class teachers by working alongside identified students both in the classroom and by delivering targeted intervention sessions. As the placement continues, the skillsets developed will vary and become more in accordance with the role of a teacher in preparation for a Teacher Training programme. This may involve helping teachers to plan and deliver highly engaging and motivating lessons, as well as providing pupils with feedback both verbally and written.

For immediate consideration for a English Graduate Teaching Assistant role as part of our Future Teachers Graduate Scheme, please upload an updated CV via the link below or contact Chris Beckenham at the Manchester North Secondary Branch directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
