Roman Catholic School in Brentford hiring for an English teacher (KS3 & 4) - October half term start

Teacher of English to start after October half term - £150 to £220 a day

There is an English teacher requirement in a Roman Catholic Secondary school for a fully qualified teacher with experience teaching up to key stage 4. Interviews are commencing next week, the 16th of September, for a full time position starting in September. The successful teacher will be working in an English department which is consistently ranked in the top three subject with the school.

English teacher applicants must have;

  • A PGCE or QTS, specialising in English
  • Experience teaching English literature or language at key stage 3 and 4
  • Availability to work 8:30am till 3:30pm, 5 days a week
  • Able to travel to Brentford either by public transport or car
  • Experience with extra curricular activities or working with SEN children is not a necessity but would be welcome
  • All applicants must hold an enhanced child workforce DBS

Senior leadership at the secondary school are looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge, but also want to ensure that teachers at the school have a good work life balance. There is preparation and marking within this role with time scheduled for teachers to ensure staff can enjoy down time.

The school is a large secondary school with fields used for sporting events and recreation. There are good transport links either by bus or by train and the school also provides on site parking.
