Engineering Teacher

Position: Full-Time Engineering Teacher 

Location: Secondary School in North Plymouth

Start Date: September 2023

Role Requirements:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Engineering lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and a love for the subject.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a comprehensive Engineering curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievements and contribute to the reporting process.

Candidate Requirements:

• A degree in Engineering or a related subject.
• Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to positively impact students' lives.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students of varying abilities.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
• Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting (desirable but optional).
• Candidates without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are welcome to apply, as the school is willing to consider exceptional candidates who can demonstrate the potential to become outstanding teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
