If so, we are currently recruiting for ECT’s to work as supply teachers across the Penzance – Camborne area. Within this role you are given the opportunity to introduce yourself to different schools in your area and develop your skills and knowledge. Flexible work patterns are available, with an online diary to help keep you organised. The ideal candidate will be confident when going into different schools and have excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum.

We have short-term and long-term supply opportunities available in both temporary and permanent roles. Opportunities include taking whole classes, working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to help with catching up after being off due to the current pandemic.  Good behaviour management skills are important in this role as you will be responsible for ensuring that the class achieve to their best possible standard during their time with you. You will also need excellent communication skills to help enhance students learning, ensuring that the students understand their tasks and are provided any additional support if needed. You will also be required to communicate with other teaching staff and possibly the headteacher, SENCO and parents depending on the length of time that you are at the school.

You will be required to arrive at schools for 8.30am and you will finish at 3.30pm. You will need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
