Early Years Teaching Assistant

Start Date: January 2027
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming primary school in the LA3 area who are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2027. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing and engaging environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

As part of the Early Years team, you will support the class teacher in delivering creative and engaging learning opportunities, helping children to develop key skills through play-based learning and structured activities.

The Role:

• Support children within an EYFS classroom on a whole-class, small-group, and 1:1 basis.
• Assist with the delivery of engaging and interactive learning activities.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and educational development.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers and parents to support pupil progress.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working in an EYFS, Nursery, or Reception setting.
• Be passionate about supporting young children's development.
• Have a patient, nurturing, and positive attitude.
• Be confident building relationships with children, staff, and families.
• Work effectively as part of a supportive team.
