Nursery Teaching Assistant (EYFS) - Full Time

Fulwood, Preston | January 2027 Start

A welcoming Primary School in Fulwood, Preston is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis from January 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting young children within an EYFS setting who is passionate about helping children learn, develop, and thrive during their early years of education.

Role Details

  • Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant (EYFS)
  • Location: Fulwood, Preston
  • Start Date: January 2027
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:25pm
  • Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
  • Contract: Full Time

About the Role

Working within the school's Nursery provision, you will support children as they develop key social, emotional, and educational skills through a mixture of structured learning and play-based activities. You will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to create an engaging, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.

Duties may include:

  • Supporting children with their learning and development across the EYFS curriculum
  • Assisting with indoor and outdoor learning activities
  • Encouraging positive social interaction and communication skills
  • Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development
  • Helping to prepare learning resources and maintain an engaging learning environment
  • Observing and recording children's progress where required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children within an EYFS or Nursery setting is essential
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
  • An Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's development and learning
