Location: Tameside (OL6)
Job Type: EYFS Teacher
Salary: £130-160 per day
Start date: Monday 15th September 2025
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to cover an absence in a mainstream primary school in the Tameside area. This is an opportunity to inspire and nurture young learners during their early years, supporting them in building the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. There is an opportunity for this role to extended due to absence length however the end date of this is undetermined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record pupil’s progress, using assessment to inform next steps of learning.
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- Uphold the school ethos and implement relevant policies including behaviour and safeguarding.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that caters for all needs and abilities.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Passionate about working with young children and making a difference.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Framework and Curriculum.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience of teaching in an Early Years setting and delivering Phonics sessions (desirable but not essential).
- Proactive, patient, and nurturing with excellent communication and classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
